SESSION 2: THU / OCT 29 - DEC 10 (No Class Nov 26) / 6 – 9 PM
During this session, students will be introduced to throwing off the hump, making lidded containers, pulling handles off the piece and creating various pieces using one pound of clay to five pounds of clay. Bowls, mugs, vases and pitchers are but a few of the options students will be creating as we delve into the various shapes and technical aspects of making these items. We will ask and answer the question: How does form follow function? Previous ceramic experience required. Students are expected to purchase clay through the Center Ticket Office for $50.
