Planned Giving

Make Midland Center Part of Your Legacy

Think about what has stayed with you from your time at the Center. It might be a performance, an afternoon in the Museum or the encouragement to try something new. Including Midland Center in your estate plans helps future generations find experiences of their own here. A legacy gift can support the Center as a whole or an area of our work that matters to you.

Our Development team can help you and your advisors record your wishes and plan for how your gift will be used.

The Legacy Society

If you have included Midland Center in your estate plans, we would love to hear from you. Sharing your plans helps us understand your wishes, thank you for your support and welcome you to the Legacy Society. Gifts of every size are welcome.

Choose What Your Gift Supports

An unrestricted planned gift gives Midland Center the flexibility to respond to future needs and opportunities. You may also choose to support an approved program or area connected to the experiences that matter most to you.

Contact our Development team before finalizing a restricted gift so we can help ensure your intentions can be honored over time.

Ways to Plan Your Gift

Every plan is different. These options can help you begin a conversation with your attorney, financial advisor and our Development team.

A Gift Through Your Will or Trust

A gift through your will or trust can be a fixed amount, a percentage of your estate, a particular asset or the remaining balance after other commitments have been fulfilled. Your gift can support Midland Center as a whole or an approved program or area that matters to you.

Beneficiary Designation

Name Midland Center as a primary or contingent beneficiary of all or part of a retirement account, life insurance policy or commercial annuity. These designations are completed through your account provider and can be reviewed as your plans change.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A charitable gift annuity may allow you to make a gift while receiving fixed payments for life. After the payment period, the remaining funds support Midland Center. Our Development team and your advisors can help you determine whether this arrangement fits your plans.

Charitable Remainder Trust

A charitable remainder trust may provide payments to you or other beneficiaries for life or a set number of years. The assets remaining in the trust then support Midland Center. These arrangements should be created with the guidance of qualified legal and financial advisors.

IRA Charitable Gifts

Eligible individuals may be able to make a qualified charitable distribution from an IRA during their lifetime. Current requirements, annual limits and tax treatment vary, so contact your IRA administrator and financial advisor before making a gift.
